There were two preliminary group, the four best players qualified for the final group which ended in a shared victory for Mester, van der Wiel, Nunn and Stean. As there were only three places in the interzonal to play for, a tie-breaking tournament was necessary. It was organised in May in Leiden. [2] has the crosstable, [1] has all the games.
