This tournament was organised by the Vlaamsche Schaakclub Antwerpen in ‘t Koninksken, Wolstraat 5, Antwerp. The rounds were played on Sunday 8 from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 19:00, on Monday 9 from 10:00 to 13:00. This seems really short and suggests a quick tempo. Participation cost was 2,5 BEF. The participants in the qualification tournament were appointed by clubs associated to the VSB (Vlaamsche Schaakbond, i.e. Flemish chess federation).
At the same time, the VSC Antwerp also organised an easter tournament. The A-series was won by Weytens and Van Gompel. By winning their respective qualification groups, Schwartz and Van Hoek qualified for a final match for the title. Perquin-Gussin and Van Praag-Kondyreff were adjourned and arbitrated as drawn by Euwe and Weening. (Or could the latter be a mistyping of Weenink?) [1] only gives final standings and no crosstables, but for the first group the information that Perquin-Gussin was drawn is enough to reconstruct the crosstable.
Van Hoek and Schwartz qualified for the championship match by their respective victories.
