One of the rare Belgian victories in the international scene. This tournament was held to celebrate the 100 years of Monte Carlo. Spain was invited but couldn’t accept for some reason. Then Austria was asked as a replacement, but they too couldn’t make it. In the end, a second Monaco team was added which made the tournament’s name slightly inaccurate. The French team was rather weak, since the French championship was held at the same time. The Belgian team won the Coupe de la Ville de Monaco and FF. 750. The games were held in the Hôtel Hermitage under direction of V. Kahn. Here are the round by round results.
