This year, there were two qualifiers for the Belgian championship: one restricted to players with the Belgian nationality and one for foreign members of the Belgian chess Federation. The latter tournament ended in a tie. A match over four games was to be organised, but stopped after three games since Van Seters had already won it. All this information comes from [1], which unfortunately gives no venue or dates. I would hazard a guess that the games were played in the white player’s club, but I am not sure. Certainly, they must be played somewhere in the late spring and early summer of 1938.
