This time, the two Antwerp clubs proved vastly superior. After the regular competition, they shared first place, so a play-off was necessary. Unsurprisingly, this was won by Antwerp SK. Note that one of the strongest players to ever participate in the national interclubs played this year: Rubinstein defended Maccabi’s first board in their third round match against Antwerp SK.In less impressive news, Le Cygne forfeited on five board against both Maccabi and Antwerp SK because they had only one clock! Presumably, the players from CÉ Liège didn’t object to this — or perhaps more clocks had been bought or borrowed when that match took place.
Here are the round-by-round results. Note that the individual scores below do not include the results from the play-off match. I have tried to respect the board order, but might have failed in some places. I have taken Belgian as the default nationality, but this may well be wrong for some players.
