This was the first year that there were three divisions in the national interclubs. In fact, there were five groups in total: the Honours division, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B. The two second divisions were won by SK Eupen ’47 and CÉ Thibaut, respectively. They had to play a match to determine which side was to take SK Groeninge’s place.
I have found quite a few of the results in a contemporary newspaper, but not enough to reconstruct the full crosstable. Fortunately, Mr. Jan Gooris found the table above on a small card in his archives and kindly sent it to me. It was probably printed for distribution in the Mechelse SK.
Wanted
- The results of the last round, plus the crosstables from the minor sections.
- Many first names.
- Almost all games.
