This tournament was held in the Park Hotel under direction of Eikrem. The Swede Schneider scored his final IM norm, but missed first place by half a point. Ostojić, who had been defeated by Schneider in the first round, scored five consecutive wins in rounds 4 to 8 and secured victory by a draw in the final round. O’Kelly was not the unstoppable machine of his prime anymore, but he managed at least a decent score..
