This tournament was part of a long-standing series of which I have so for unearthed very little information. In this edition, four countries participated, fielding teams in tennis, table tennis, soccer, and chess. The first round of the chess tournament took place on Tuesday, May 25th at 14:00, the other rounds on Wednesday 26th and Friday 28th, respectively, each time at 8:30.
The chess team apparently consisted of two players, although it is possible that there were reserves. On the two boards, full-round tournament were players but, strangely, the same two teams met on different days on the two boards. I do not know the composition of the teams, but quite possible Vandezande was Belgium’s first board.
