The tables are taken from [3]. [1] gives a different final standing for the main tournament, where George has 4 and Malpas 1½ point. The nationalities are for the most part a guessing game – especially in the minor tournament, where almost all players are unknown to me. George was a pseudonym, but I don’t know whose. Brognon’s name is given as Gaty in [4], so probably one of those names was also a pseudonym for the other.
[2] and [3] give some more details: playing hours were 14-18, 21-24 and if necessary 10-12 the next day. Players had to complete 30 moves in 2 hours and then 15 moves per hour. The prizes were as follows: 300 Fr. and an art object; 300 Fr., 200 Fr. and 100 Fr.
Wanted:
- Most games – including all from the women’s section.
- The first names of Pannekoek, George, De St. Moulin & Manford.
- I am not sure about the nationalities of a number of players.
