Via this tournament, four players could qualify for the Belgian championship. It was organised in two knock-out rounds, on the weekends of June 3-4 and 17-18, respectively. In case of a 1-1, an additional game was played. If this was drawn too, the highest rated player qualified. I don’t know the results of these play-off games for the second round — if they were played at all — nor do I know whether these play-offs where also held in Hasselt. In any case, all players that reached the second round did end up playing in the Belgian championship.
Wanted
- Any information about the play-offs to the second round.
