Note that Isidore Censer played under the pseudonym Henri. That it really was him can be gleaned from the coverage in the Flemish newspaper De Schelde. Apparently, he had to retire due to illness. This congress was supposed to be a preliminary for the Belgian championship proper, in which the top-three finishers would be joined by reigning champion Colle for a double round robin tournament. However, this tournament was never held. Again according to De Schelde, this final tournament was supposed to start on December 4th but was cancelled due to a lack of participants. Apparently, no invitations were sent out. Consequently, Colle kept his title.
