This was apparently a return match for a match, presumably held in Brussels in 1995, of which I have so far found no trace. That’s a pity, because this return match was very strong, indeed. Apparently, Bronstein and Douven played a Fischerandom game, but the other boards were standard chess. It seems the juniors played two games each. Full results and two games come from [1], the Fischerandom game on board one from [2]. All this information was kindly sent to me by Mr. Olthof, who further informs me that Scheeren was supposed to play on board one, but he didn’t like Bronstein’s proposal to play Fischerandom, so swapped places with Douven.
Wanted
- Almost all games.
- A bunch of first names.
- What were the exact results on the junior boards?
