The Easter tournament in Antwerp had become traditional at this point. It united some of the strongest players in Belgium on Easter weekend (including Easter Monday) and the weekend before for a six-player tournament.
This time, one of the secondary groups was the Belgian ladies’ championship. It was won by Roos, but several sources claim that the Belgian lady champion for this year was Stoffels. Perhaps Roos was Dutch (or of another foreign nationality) and therefore ineligible for the title? Roos was later to move to the USA, where she won the national ladies’ championship.
