As most chess clubs in the country, the Schaarbeek chess club organised a yearly championship in several series. Unlike most clubs, the first class was of great enough importance to warrant the results being published in the newspapers ([1] & [2]). Unfortunately, two of the five players quickly abandoned the tournament. They may have played more than one game, though. Van Seters won; no surprise, no competition.
