A good victory for the Belgian team, although it must be admitted that some good French players were missing. I found the results and a few games in [1]. [1] also mentions that Belgian junior player Varfis was no match for his French counterpart Bessenay (I guess that means he lost twice, but I’m not sure). There was probably also two women competing – as was the case in the previous and later editions – but I don’t know these results and they didn’t count to the official final result. Apparently, grandmaster Kotov arbitrated the games Rooze-Boutteville and De Bruycker-Benoît from the second round.
Wanted
- Almost all games.
- Did Francis or Pierre Meinsohn play?
