All information I have comes from [1]. This tournament was organised by the Antwerp Chess Club. Strangely, all participants were from Flanders: Vanhoorne from West Flanders, De Backere from East Flanders, Somers from Brabant, while Boey and Van den Broeck were locals. Boey managed the amazing feat of having a two point lead after three round! In the last round, a draw against De Backere was enough for him to secure the title. By this victory, he qualified for the world junior championship in Copenhagen.
