A rather weak edition of the Belgian championship without, among others, Dunkelblum, Devos, O’Kelly de Galway, Van Schoor who had been to the olympiad. Originally, ten players were supposed to play in the championship, but Van Lennep had to withdraw last minute and Wostyn did the same after a single game.
