I don’t know why Devreese withdrew, but Koltanowski had to retire after three rounds, because his military leave was not prolonged. With that, and with the absence of Dunkelblum, Sapira, and Soultanbeieff, the coast was clear for Colle to coast to victory. [1] has full results and all games.
