This match was a continuation of the pre-war matches between Antwerp and North Brabant. De facto, it was probably still a match between Antwerp and North Brabant; at least on the top boards there were no players from Limburg. It took place in the Van Dyck hall in Antwerp on 147 boards and ended in a 86-61 victory for the home team. However, on the top boards they led a resounding defeat.
[1] gives the results of the first twenty boards [2] gives two games and [3] gives one more, too. A little surprisingly, some more information appeared in [4], some ten years after the match. In particular, that source claims that Jef Boey and his brother Antoine played on boards 90 and 91, respectively and that they both won their games. It also gives Jef’s game; it’s not a good game, but it’s the earliest of his I know.
