The games were played from 17:30 to 22:00, except for the last round which was played from 09:00 to 14:00. Adjourned games were played from 09:00 to 13:00. The tempo was 10 moves in 2h30′ followed by 16 moves per hour. The Soviet Union, Portugal, and Sweden were invited but, for various reasons, didn’t send a representative. At the last minute, the Bulgarian Inkiov withdrew, after which Michel Van der Stappen also withdrew to keep the number of players even. The tournament director was F. De Jonghe, [1] gives all information above and all the games, too.
