[3] announces the following lineup of foreign players: Bernstein, Colle, Norman-Hansen, Maróczy, Mieses, Muffang, Réti, Spielmann, Thomas and Voellmy. [2] says that Strick van Linschoten replaced Muffang. It seems likely that this was a last-minute replacement since no foreign master was found. His good result in this tournament launched Colle’s international chess carreer.
