Some big names were missing. In the Dutch team, Olland and Pannekoek were missing. For Belgium, Colle was absent as he was playing in an international tournament in Berlin. According to [2], Lenglez appeared late – and in fact ended up losing on time – while Boruchowitz and reserve Kraitchik didn’t turn up at all. Segall had to jump in on the 3rd board. [1] has full results and all games. Goud’s first names were kindly provided by Mr. Olthof.
