A reasonably strong first edition for the world junior championship: Larsen, Ólafsson and winner Ivkov al become world class grandmasters. Belgian participant Coosemans didn’t do very well. [1] gives the crosstable, [2] a game and the nationalities. The first two rounds were played at the Sibree Hall in Coventry, the rest at Birmingham University (cfr.[3]).
