Schwartz  and Van Hoek had qualified for this final match in the preceding qualification tournament. This match was organised by the Vlaamse Schaakclub Berchem, at Driekoningenstraat 120, Berchem. At the same time, an open Pentecost tournament was held with results as above. The participation cost for this open tournament was 2,5 BEF.
