Koltanowski was clearly too strong for the rest of the field, mainly because he absolutely crushed the weaker players. This tournament was played in the winter from October 1927 to January 1928. The crosstable from [3] is corroborated by the final results given in [2]. Only a few games are available unfortunately. They come from [1]-[4].

Wanted

  • First names of Oberman, Van Stappen, Kaplan, and Embrechts.
  • Almost all games.
  • I am not at all sure about the nationalities. All players probably lived in Belgium, but that’s pretty much all I know for sure.
