[1] gives the games, [2] gives final standings for the lower sections and some corrections to the games from [1]. Apparently, A. Boey (brother of Jozef) played a play-off against Ottevaere. It was drawn, but Boey received the title because he had a better SB score. In class 4, Claessens won a play-off with 2-0 against Van Belleghem.
This tournament took place in Café Royal, Grote Markt 29 in Mechelen and was organised by the Mechelse SK under its president Jan Schiets. Weltjens was tournament director. Belgian newspaper De Volksgazet, via its chess correspondent Vandiest, awarded a separate shield to a played who had shown something “special”. The recipient was Mollekens, for his fresh playing style. O’Kelly awarded the brilliancy prize to Verstraeten for his victory over Soultanbeieff.
