This year, the number of teams in first division went up from eight to ten, which meant Ghent and the Colle Academy, which had finished on the last two places the previous year, could nevertheless play in first division. Another novelty was the addition of a fourth division, in which the teams consisted of only four players instead of six — as is still the case today. It was quite a tense fight, this time, with the Antwerp side only securing first place in the last round. Similarly, Eupen only managed to save themselves by tying CÉ Thibaut in the last round.

[1] gives full results, barring a few adjourned games, and almost all the detailed results. The same source also gives a number of games. A couple more come from [2]. Here are the detailed round-by-round results of the first division, insofar as I have them. The results below don’t include forfeits nor, obviously, the matches for which I don’t have the detailed results. I have assumed Belgian as the default nationality, but this is probably wrong for some players.
