This tournament was organised by the Westland Chess club and Erasme. It took place over two prolonged weekends: May 1-3 and then Mary 28-31 at Theo Verbeecklaan 1, Anderlecht. The tempo was 40 moves in 2 hours followed by 20 moves per hour. Charles Lalieu was tournament director.
