For the second time, IBM organised an international chess tournament. This time, there were seven secondary groups with 72 Dutch participants in total. Misset was tournament director and Orbaan was the arbiter for the main groups. Melchior and van Mastrigt arbitrated the secondary groups. The prizes were as follows: 1. f 600 2. f. 450 3. f. 300 4. f. 200 5. f. 150 6. f. 100, so Dunkelblum came a point short for any of them.

Once the adjourned games were played out, it turned out that Tan was leading the field. Czerniak caught up with him in the penultimate round. The IM norm was 6½ points, so Tan made it easily while Langeweg and van den Berg just missed out. All information comes from the tournament bulletin [1].
