All information comes from the tournament bulletin ([1]). This tournament was sponsored by Turmac, a tobacco company based in Zevenaar, in their plant. The official opening was on October 23rd. The games were played from 15:00 to 21:00, except for the final round, which was played from 13:00 to 19:00. De Graaf and Wille were arbiters.

The grandmasters dominated the tournament. O’Kelly had a very good start and led the tournament until his unnecessary loss against Henneberke in the 7th round. Two more defeats in the 12th and 13th rounds threw him back a bit, but with a convincing victory in the last round against Bobotsov, he won a shared second prize (f.700 pp).
