In the absence of Soultanbeieff, who had won the championship the previous year, Ambühl and O’Kelly dominated the field. As there were nine rounds in nine days, I have assumed that one round was played per day. I am greatly indebted to Mr. Ulrich Tamm for sending me the crosstable and most of the few games I have. I found one more in [3]. I have also included the game O’Kelly de Galway–Ianovchik from [2] of which I’m not sure whether it was really played in this tournament. In any case, it is a nice attacking game in true nineteenth century fashion.
Wanted
