Znosko-Borovsky’s stay in Belgium was mainly used to organise simultaneous exhibition, but there was also a match against the Belgian champion. The young Colle was no match yet for his experienced Franco-Russian opponent, but it wasn’t quite as lop-sided as the score suggests.
[1] gives full results and the three games I have. The games were played on January 16, 17, 20, 21, 24, and 25. I think most were played in various clubs in Brussels, but at least one of them took place in Colle’s home city of Ghent.
