The great Réti was in Belgium for a series of simultaneous exhibitions. On this occasion, a very short friendly match was organised in Brussels between him and local hero Lancel. Réti seems to have underestimated his opponent in the first game, which he lost. He struck back in the second one. [1] gives both games.
